Tanis Named the Fittest Company of Oosterhout

At Tanis, we believe that a healthy company starts with healthy people. That’s why we are incredibly proud to have been crowned The Fittest Company of Oosterhout after taking part in this year’s local fitness challenge.

Throughout the month of June, companies from across the municipality competed to earn the title by encouraging employees to stay active and register as many physical activities as possible. Whether it was cycling to work, running, walking, swimming, going to the gym or participating in team sports, every activity contributed to the final score.

A team of 30 enthusiastic Tanis colleagues embraced the challenge with great energy and commitment. Together, they logged hundreds of hours of physical activity, consistently keeping Tanis near the top of the leaderboard. Thanks to their dedication and team spirit, we finished the competition in first place and proudly earned the title of The Fittest Company of Oosterhout.

More Than a Competition

While winning the title is something we are proud of, the challenge represented something much bigger than a sporting achievement.

Supporting the Local Community

An even more rewarding aspect of the challenge was that our participation also supported the Voedseltuin Oosterhout.

This wonderful local initiative grows fresh vegetables and fruit for residents of Oosterhout who are experiencing financial difficulties. By providing access to healthy, nutritious food, the Voedseltuin helps families maintain a healthy diet when they need it most.

Knowing that our sporting efforts also contributed to such a meaningful cause gave every kilometre cycled, every run completed and every walk taken an extra purpose. It reminded us that staying active can have a positive impact not only on ourselves, but also on the community around us.

A Team Effort

This achievement would not have been possible without the enthusiasm of our colleagues. Every participant contributed in their own way, proving that success is built on teamwork rather than individual performance.

Whether someone completed an early morning ride before work, took a lunchtime walk, trained for a sporting event or simply chose the stairs instead of the elevator, every activity counted. Together, these individual efforts created an outstanding collective result.
